It’s a Lifestyle, not a Religion

Today is February 17th, National Random Acts of Kindness Day!

Look, we all come across situations in which we find ourselves compromised in one way or another. The definition of who we are, what our character is, clearly comes from our actions and how we deal with the adversity we face.

Look at where we find ourselves this Friday morning …….

A Presidential election cycle that left the country bitterly divided. My social media feed looks a lot like yours – division, polarity, anger, hate, Friends and family are at odds, sometimes over a seemingly insignificant issue, belief or even a single word. If we were able to distance ourselves and look back, I’m fairly confident we would be extremely alarmed at our behavior.

There is an absence of caring leadership, not sure how we got here but it is critical to the future of our country, company, community and families. We have to be able to practice it and be gracious enough to receive it. Whether it be nature or nurture, being kind is the simplest thing you can do today to make a difference in someone’s day.

Let’s make it something we practice, not just worship.
